Dr. Paul English
Dr. English started his practice in 1990 at Thomas Davis Medical Centers in Tempe. In 1997 he opened a private practice in Ahwatukee and opened a satellite office in Gilbert in 1999. He enjoys general dermatology with an emphasis on treatment of skin cancer. He has been the principal investigator in several clinical drug trials and has been the team dermatologist for the Arizona Diamondbacks since 1999. His outside interests include hunting, fishing and backpacking. He has an interest in agriculture and raises registered Black Angus beef cattle. Dr. English visited Mozambique, Africa in 2003. He was deeply touched by the people and their needs. He serves as the New Advisor for a non-profit organization called Care for Life that is developing a medical clinic in Manga. Dr. English was born in Illinois, the third child in a family of eight children. His father was in the Air Force and he moved frequently until his later teen years. He enjoyed sports and played baseball through high school. After graduation he joined the Air Force and served as a air traffic controller. He married his high school sweetheart and has five children and ten grandchildren. Following the birth of his third child, a family friend encouraged him to consider medicine. Dr. English went back to school and graduated Magna cum Laude from Weber State University in Ogden, UT. He then attended Medical School at the University of Utah and did a pediatric internship at the University. He completed his Dermatology Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine in Dallas, TX and served as the Chief Resident.
